We are a community-based First Tech Robotics team that currently meets in the ARIC (Autonomous Robotics Innovation Center) building in Westminster, MD. While the team number has been around for a long time, it was previously associated with Liberty High School. After the school’s team disbanded in 2012, it was converted into a community team so anyone from the area could join – to include those from public & private schools, as well as those who are homeschooled. The new team is in their twelfth year and has new members from Hampstead, Windsor Mill, Marriottsville, and Hanover, PA.
We are associated with Partnership for Engineering Education and Entrepreneurship (PIE3), a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to inspiring K-12 kids about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics though robotics programs in Carroll County and surrounding areas. It sponsors FIRST Robotics Teams in four levels covering the entire K-12 spectrum.
