Goals:  

Programmers

  • Identify which autonomous programs to use.

  • Start designing mechanism to knock jewel off
  • Redesign claw

  • Review decisions made at dinner before Christmas

Meeting Notes

Programmers:

  • Calculated the required ticks to move the robot to the safe zone
  • Talked about getting glyph in crypto box and knocking off the jewel

Builders:

  • Shortened claw by taking off top metal plate
  • Changed hubs on mechanum wheels to fit better

 

Objective: Find the amount of ticks required to get the robot from the balancing pad to the safe zone.

Math:

  • Diameter of mechanum wheels is 4”
  • PI times 4 gives circumference of wheels
  • 3.14 * 4 = 12.56 inches per rotation of motor

Move 26”

  • 26/12.56= 2.07 rotations to go 26 inches
  • 420 ticks every revolution
  • 07*420=869.4
  • 869.4 ticks to go 26”

Move 36”

  • 36/12.56= 2.87 rotations to go 36 inches
  • 420 ticks every revolution
  • 87*420=1203.82
  • 1203.82 ticks to go 36”
