  • Complete wiring.
  • Lock-tite Robot.
  • Replace Racks.
  • Reflections:
    • Display boards are annoying-Brianna
    • Translators are good for laryngitis.
  • Next Time:
    • F’ix skirt so goals don’t hit wheels.
    • Practice driving robot.

Engineering Notebook – 01/27/15

Attendance:

Jacob, Tyler, Danielle, Joey, Spencer, Brianna, Mikayla

Goals:

  • Display board.
  • Solder wires.
  • Wired robot better.

Meeting Notes

  • Display board.
  • Solder wires.
  • Wired robot better.
  • Reflections:
    • Brianna needs to learn font size.
    • Soldering is difficult unless you know how to do it.
  • Next Time:
    • Rewire.
    • Finish display board.

Engineering Notebook – 01/26/15

Attendance:

Jacob, Danielle, Mikayla, Brianna

Goals:

  • Adjust robot.
  • Fix programs

Meeting Notes

  • Joey put a skirt on the inside of the robot to guide the goal in the center better.
  • Thought about where we are going to put the servo on the center of the robot.
  • Practice driving.
  • Fixed control.
  • Reflections:
    • Mikayla had a huge light bulb moment.
    • Joey likes drilling holes.
    • Brianna shouldn’t stay up past 7 pm.
  • Next Time:
    • Tighten skirt.
    • Fasten all the controllers on the robot
    • Try to finish wiring all the controllers to the motors/servos

Engineering Notebook – 01/25/15

Attendance:

Jacob, Tyler, Danielle, Joey, Spencer, Brianna, Mikayla

Goals:

  • Focus on the engineer’s notebook.
  • Fix the linear slide.
  • Wiring.

Meeting Notes

  • Finished a lot with the engineer’s notebook.
  • Finished a lot with publicizing.
  • Tyler and Joey adjusted the placement of the linear slide after many attempts.
  • Jacob made an autonomous and tested and changed it Many times.
  • Mikayla took the old tele-op program and remolded new program to suit our new strategy.
  • Reflections:
    • Danielle and Brianna got a lot done with the Engineer’s notebook and PR.
    • Jacob and Mikayla got a lot done with autonomous.
    • Jacob and Mikayla didn’t rip each other’s throats out (surprise, surprise)
    • Tyler and Joey messed up a lot.
    • Tyler is a good pick-pocketer.
    • Spencer’s little brother is adorable! (but don’t tell him)
  • Next Time:
    • Practice linear slide in tele-op.
    • Work out bugs with software.

Engineering Notebook – 01/23/15

Attendance:

Jacob, Tyler, Danielle, Joey, Spencer, Brianna, Mikayla

Goals:

  • Wire the linear slide.
  • Start attaching it to the robot.
  • Start to practice how to control the linear slide.

Meeting Notes

  • Worked on a prototype for the linear slide.
  • We got the bucket on the linear slide so the balls don’t slide out.
  • We extended the bucket to fit 5 balls.
  • Took apart the robot.
  • Switch the position of the wheels.
  • Reflections:
    • The linear slide is defiantly better than the scissor lift
    • When we took apart the scissor lift we discovered that a big problem with it was that one of the gliders was very loose, so if we had looked at it more carefully, wo could have fixed it and it might have worked.
    • Jacob makes good cake.
    • We decided to go with the linear slide because since the qualifier is canceled, that the linear slide would increase our ability to pick up balls and score more points in the matches.
  • Next Time:
    • Fix linear slide.
    • Put the linear slide on the robot.

Engineering Notebook – 01/21/15

Attendance:

Jacob, Danielle, Spencer

Goals:

  • Finalizing autonomous programs.
  • Practice driving.

Meeting Notes

  • We got the ramp-goal program basically working.
  • We decided that if the qualifier was canceled we would put the linear slide in.
  • Practiced lining up the robot.
  • Learned how to turn with two wheels in autonomous.
  • Reflections:
    • Some people need to help out more
    • Danielle learned how to line up the robot for autonomous
  • Next Time:
    • Practice driving

Engineering Notebook – 01/20/15

Attendance:

Jacob, Tyler, Danielle, Joey, Spencer, Brianna

Goals:

  • Practice and fix autonomous.

Meeting Notes

  • Finished team profiles.
  • Practiced and fixed some of the autonomous.
  • The team took a vote on whether or not we were going to keep the scissor lift or change it to a linear slide. Because of our lack of time we decided to keep the scissor lift.
  • Reflections:
    • Brianna thinks Spencer and Joey need to be more active in the world.
    • Instead of tile flooring we should have foam mats.
  • Next Time:
    • Autonomous
    • Practice driving
